Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of complex piping systems, ensuring they meet all relevant technical, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including stress analysis, pipeline routing, and system layout
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate piping systems with other project components
- Prepare detailed piping drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of piping systems, providing technical guidance and support to on-site teams
- Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle
- Continuously seek to optimise piping system design and performance
- Mentor and train junior engineers to develop their technical expertise
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the design and engineering of industrial piping systems
- Proficient in the use of industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD, PDMS, or similar
- Thorough understanding of piping codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, ANSI, API)
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
